As part of We Have Never Been Powerless, BLEUR is delighted to present a very special intimate live performance by Aicha Thérése. Blending poetry, music and storytelling, Aicha Thérése’s work explores identity, vulnerability, resilience and the emotional landscapes that shape everyday life. Rooted in lived experience, her performances move between quiet introspection and powerful social reflection, creating moments of connection that invite audiences to pause, listen and recognise themselves in one another. In dialogue with the exhibition, her performance reflects on the quiet forms of resistance that emerge through honesty, care and the courage to speak.
Aicha Thérése (also known as ATL) is a spoken word artist, singer-songwriter and curator from South East London. Working across poetry and music, she creates multidisciplinary performances that weave together spoken word with influences from jazz, neo-soul, R&B and hip-hop. Since beginning her practice in 2019, she has performed at venues including the Roundhouse, the Barbican and the Banqueting House, while also facilitating workshops and mentoring emerging creatives across London. She is the founder of ATL’s Word on the Street, a platform dedicated to championing new voices and fostering creative community through poetry and live performance.
