Translated from Portuguese, The Tokyo Suite is a powerful domestic thriller about motherhood and class tensions, set in contemporary Brazil.
Originally written in 2020, Madalasso’s novel has been translated to great acclaim, securing a spot on last year’s New York Times 100 Notable Books list, as well as a nomination for the 2026 Dublin Literary Award.
