Veranda Books are very excited to be welcoming Karim Kattan to Veranda to discuss his new novel, Eden at Dawn (tr. Jeffrey Zuckerman). The story of two young men finding love in a mythical Jerusalem, oppressed by occupation and a biblical sandstorm. Karim Kattan returns to the Palestine of his imagination, memorably rendered in Palace on the Higher Hill; Eden at Dawn is a cry for love in the midst of war that confirms the strength of the author’s literary universe.
Karim will be in conversation with Abla Kandalaft, a journalist, researcher and film programmer. She hosts and produces the Garden Cinema Film Talk podcast.
The event is supported by the Institut Français 🇫🇷
