The Cumberland Hotel Celebrates 90 Years
The Cumberland Hotel was built on a historically significant site bounded by Oxford Street, Old Quebec Street, Bryanston Street, and Great Cumberland Place. It dates back to the 1930’s with 2025 marking its 90th anniversary. Over the years, this hotel has hosted luminaries like Charlie Chaplin, the Prince of Wales, and Marlene Dietrich. The Cumberland has also become synonymous with musical history, it was Jimi Hendrix’s last official residence, and a favoured stop for icons such as Buddy Holly, Diana Ross & The Supremes.

John Simons Celebrates 70 Years
The year was 1955 when John Simons began his journey in menswear as a window dresser at Cecil Gee, before launching his own initiative selling tailored pieces from market stalls in London. Now seven decades, John Simons is celebrated as “the godfather” of British Ivy League menswear, throughout the 1960’s John became a pioneer of the Ivy League style, by popularising refined staples. Think soft shouldered jackets, button down shirts, chinos, loafers, and distinctive Harrington jackets. Fast forward to 2011, the brand relocates to our neighbourhood at 46 Chiltern Street where you can still find them today.

TotallySwedish Celebrates 20 Years
Founded in 2005 by Annethe Nathan at 32 Crawford Street, this year Totally Swedish celebrates 20 years of bringing Nordic food and home goods to Marylebone. The brand stocks an impressive range of over 1,000 Swedish products, including classic pantry staples like pick & mix sweets, crispbread, pickled herring, gravad lax, lingonberry jam, filmjölk (soured milk), and even specialty items like Hernö Gin, Skånsk Chili hot sauces, Sandby coffee, and artisan chocolates from Umeå. Founded in 2015 by celebrated British perfumer Lyn Harris, Perfumer H is rooted in simplicity, natural ingredients, and sensory storytelling.
